Another Nautical Activity in Cassis: Provençal Water Jousting

Provençal jousting is a traditional nautical sport: a battle on the water between two competitors, each standing on a boat, whose goal is to knock the other into the water using a lance. Mathieu, Captain of the TIKI, is also a jouster with the association Francs Jouteur Cassidens. From June to September, Cassis’ jousters meet every Wednesday and Saturday around 6:00 pm to compete in the Port of Cassis… always in a fun, friendly and festive atmosphere!
An original, sporty, funny and truly unique activity to watch from the Port… or even to try yourself on the “tintaines” — the wooden platforms located about 2 meters above the water where the jousters stand to face each other. Come and try water jousting Cassis ! Participation fee to support the association: €10 per person Open to men, women and children. 30 min to 2 hours
